Job Purpose:
Operation supervisor, Bus Interchange is an integral role in SMRT Buses. Reporting to Interchange Manager and together with rest of the operation supervisors and officers, he/she oversees Bus Interchange operations to provide efficient bus services to passengers. This includes managing bus services, facilities & security, as well as assigning duties to the staffs. He/she also liaises with vendors to carry out maintenance work and acts as the liaising officer for lost and found items
Job Requirements:
Safety & Service
- Conduct safety checks and safety engagement to Bus Captains and Interchange staffs
- Site coordination for serious accidents
- Manage commuter complaints/compliments
- Oversee traffic and crowd control, and passenger service office operation
Operations
- Conduct diversion/road works/shifting of bus stops briefing/bus stop survey
- Assist Interchange Manager for service route runtime revision
- Conduct service performance investigations and preliminary investigations on accidents
- Oversee staff management of Operation Officers and bus service representatives
- Manage bus bridging and free bus ride operations
Facilities & Maintenance Management
- Facilitate external / internal visits (i.e. SPF CCTV viewing)
- Conduct first parade task checks, routine premise checks and closure of audit follow up
- Conduct Bus Interchange system functionality checks and periodic checks for unmanned terminals
- Manage premise cleaners and security guards
Requirements:
- Minimum diploma in any field
- Fire safety manager and experience in transport operation management will be a bonus
Technical skills include:
