Position Title

Stores Supervisor / Storekeeper Supervisor

Operations Manager / Plant Manager

Job Purpose

The Stores Supervisor is fully responsible for inventory accuracy, daily-use consumables control, and store discipline. This role requires hands-on experience managing fast-moving daily-use products. Any stock loss, over-issuance, or poor tracking of consumables will be treated as serious negligence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory & Daily-Use Products Control

• Manage and control daily-use products and consumables such as gloves, PPE, cutting tools, oils, lubricants, welding rods, spare parts, and general supplies.

• Ensure tight control over fast-moving items to prevent over-issuance, wastage, misuse, or theft.

• Maintain accurate daily records of all consumables issued and returned.

• Conduct daily checks on high-usage items and investigate abnormal consumption immediately.

2. Receiving, Issuing & Documentation

• Verify all incoming goods against delivery orders and invoices, including consumables and daily-use items.

• Issue materials strictly based on approved requisitions and job requirements.

• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and segregation of daily-use products.

• Reject or report damaged, incorrect, or excess items.

3. Consumption Monitoring & Cost Control

• Track daily, weekly, and monthly consumption trends of consumables.

• Flag unusual usage patterns and recommend control measures.

• Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.

• Support cost control by reducing wastage and unnecessary reordering.

4. Store Organization & Housekeeping

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store at all times.

• Ensure proper stacking and storage of consumables, tools, and spare parts.

• Enforce return of tools and unused materials after work completion.

5. Supervision & Discipline

• Supervise store assistants and users collecting items, ensuring discipline and accountability.

• Enforce store procedures firmly and consistently.

• Train workers on correct usage and handling of consumables to reduce wastage.

6. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure availability of daily-use items without production delay.

• Prepare daily / weekly consumption and variance reports.

• Be fully accountable for discrepancies, damages, or losses.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Stores Supervisor or Senior Storekeeper.

• Proven experience handling fast-moving daily-use products / consumables in industrial or heavy-duty environments.

• Strong documentation and stock control discipline.

• Able to work in dusty, physically demanding conditions.

• Careless handling of consumables or poor record-keeping will not be acceptable.
