Supervisor

1. Monitoring daily work progress to ensure compliance with project schedules and methods.

2. Enforcing workplace safety and health (WSH) regulations, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring a safe environment.

3. Organizing subcontractors, vendors, and resources to prevent delays.

4. Interpreting blueprints and construction drawings, conducting inspections, and maintaining high-quality standards.

5. Updating site reports, daily records, and providing data for, or assisting with, project invoicing and progress claims.

6. Ensuring materials and equipment are available and used efficiently on site.

7. Practical on-site construction experience is essential. A certificate in Building Construction Supervision or a related engineering field is usually required.

8. Overseeing daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and worker teams to ensure smooth progress.

9. Enforcing strict safety protocols, maintaining EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

10. Monitoring construction progress against schedules, updating daily/weekly work reports, and reporting to engineers or managers.

11. Interpreting blueprints and drawings, conducting site surveys, and ensuring work methods adhere to technical specifications

12. Managing materials and equipment, and ensuring site housekeeping

13. Performing site measurements, maintaining records, and assisting in documentation for billing

14. Relevant certifications such as the Building Construction Supervisor Safety Course.

15. Strong communication and leadership skills to lead worker teams

16. Monitor progress and productivity

17. Act as the link between engineers, project managers, and workers

18. Ensure work is carried out according to drawings and specifications

19. Coordinate different trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, structural)

20. Attend site meetings and brief workers on tasks
