Job Summary
AKR CONSTRUCTION & ENGRG PTE. LTD. seeks a Supervisor / General Foreman to lead daily site operations, coordinate teams, and ensure projects meet timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily construction site operations to ensure efficient workflow and project progress
- Lead and coordinate workers, subcontractors, and site teams to achieve project goals
- Interpret and ensure work complies with project drawings and specifications
- Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports for the project manager
- Enforce compliance with Singapore construction safety regulations and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requirements
- Conduct site inspections to maintain quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Plan manpower allocation and schedule site activities to optimize resource use
- Oversee proper use and handling of materials and equipment on site
- Maintain site discipline and implement safety procedures to prevent accidents
- Attend site meetings and contribute to progress updates and issue resolution
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction supervision or general foreman role
- Experience in building construction, renovation, or civil works
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
- Strong leadership and team management skills demonstrated through effective site coordination
- Good knowledge of Singapore construction safety standards
- Effective communication and coordination skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders
- Relevant construction certifications advantageous but not mandatory
- Demonstrated responsibility, diligence, and ability to perform under pressure
