M&E Supervisor/General Foreman supervises and coordinates the renovation work site related Mechanical & Electrical works, ensuring proper installation and following design and instructions as per the drawings and quality standards, while managing the trade and skilled workers to meet project deadlines. Most of the time works as a subcontractor and meets very tight deadlines and manages the main-contractor, owner, and consultants with the highest patience and diligence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend site survey and reporting for the renovation jobs
- Site Supervision: Direct on-site M&E activities, including installation of electrical and mechanical services.
- Coordination: Liaison with project managers, consultants, and other trades to prevent scheduling conflicts and technical clashes.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with regulatory authorities (SCDF, NEA, BCA).
- Resource Management: Plan, schedule, and allocate manpower, tools, and materials to meet site productivity targets.
- Quality Control: Inspect workmanship to ensure it meets approved method statements and quality standards.
- Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain documentation for testing and commissioning
- Read and execute the contract specifications
- Assist and prepare the material specification requirements for the works in advance planning
- Call and enquire the suppliers for the material and instrument and equipment
- Prepare monthly progress completion reports and get the required endorsement for PCC
- Liaise and assist in preparation claims
