M&E Supervisor/General Foreman supervises and coordinates on-site Mechanical & Electrical works, ensuring compliance with drawings, safety, and quality standards while managing workers and subcontractors to meet project deadlines. Key duties include monitoring daily operations, conducting inspections, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., BCA, WSH).
Job Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision: Direct on-site M&E activities, including installation of electricaland mechanical services.
- Coordination: Liaison with project managers, consultants, and other trades to prevent scheduling conflicts and technical clashes.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with regulatory authorities (SCDF, NEA, BCA).
- Resource Management: Plan, schedule, and allocate manpower, tools, and materials to meet site productivity targets.
- Quality Control: Inspect workmanship to ensure it meets approved method statements and quality standards.
- Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain documentation for testing and commissioning.
Requirements:
- Experience: Generally requires 3 years of experience in construction sites, specifically in managing M&E works.
- Education: A Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is typically required.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills to manage subcontractors and workers.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of M&E technical drawings, specifications, and local building regulations.
- Safety Certification: Possession of safety-related certifications (e.g., BCSS, WSH Supervisor Course) is often required.
