Curriculum and Syllabus design
Support the development and implementation of the Kids Ministry curriculum in alignment with RHC's vision, mission, and beliefs, using age-appropriate pedagogy to nurture children in faith and lay foundations for lifelong discipleship.
Assist in reviewing and refining existing Kids Ministry curriculum, contributing ideas and improvements that deepen discipleship.
Work alongside the Family Ministry Director to prepare syllabus outlines, lesson plans, and teaching schedules, ensuring alignment with RHC's values and ministry direction.
Adapt and contextualise external curriculum materials in the short term, while contributing to the gradual development of RHC-specific curriculum in the longer term.
Help integrate both explicit curriculum (lesson content) and implicit curriculum (culture, practices, and ministry rhythms) into the overall discipleship approach.
Prepare and organise resources for parents that complement Sunday lessons, supporting families in discipling their children and strengthening a culture of family discipleship at RHC.
Collaborate with volunteers in lesson planning and refinement, providing coordination and administrative support where needed.
Support the implementation of feedback and evaluation processes to enable ongoing improvement in teaching and pedagogy.
Champion Kids Ministry and a culture of family discipleship
Support the equipping of volunteers for effective curriculum delivery, and assist with training initiatives led by the Kids Ministry Leader.
Contribute ideas and provide support in ministry planning discussions under the guidance of the Kids Ministry Leader.
Work in partnership with the Kids Ministry Leader and Family Ministry Director to support Kids Ministry goals and help foster a culture of family discipleship at RHC.
Collaborate with wider ministry teams (T&E, pastoral, missions, M&J) to help ensure curriculum aligns with discipleship, mission, and city renewal priorities.
