Student Management Officer (Secondary School)

Working Hours & Period

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch break).
• Fridays: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch break).
• Service Period: Active service from 1 Jan 2027 to 31 May 2027 and 1 Jul 2027 to 15 Nov 2027.
• No work is required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted Public Holidays, and designated school vacation periods (the entire month of June, the last two weeks of November, and the entire month of December).

Key Responsibilities

• Promote Positive Discipline: Act as a strong advocate for positive discipline, building constructive relationships with the student body.
• School Patrol & Engagement: Conduct routine patrols across the school compound (including classroom blocks, toilets, and special rooms) to maintain a positive school tone and engage with general and at-risk students.
• Neighborhood Checks: Perform routine checks in the immediate vicinity outside the school grounds, such as neighborhood void decks, to ensure students behave appropriately after school hours.
• Case Investigation: Assist the Student Discipline Unit in investigating serious disciplinary offences and engaging with parents or guardians when necessary.
• Intervention Support: Assist in managing and running student intervention programmes, including In-House Suspions, Detention Classes, and counselling sessions for students-at-risk.
• Records Management: Maintain, update, and upkeep meticulous student disciplinary records in both hardcopy and softcopy formats.

Job Requirements

• Education: Minimum GCE O Level Certification.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of working experience in a similar student management, disciplinary management, or school operational environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, email applications, and Google Tools.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to firmly yet empathetically handle teenagers and engage parents constructively.
• Attributes: Excellent team player, highly organized, meticulous, and capable of multi-tasking under dynamic circumstances.
