1. Student Emotional & Behavioural Support

a. First line of support for students

b. Provides one-on-one pastoral support for students who are

anxious, distressed, withdrawn or emotionally overwhelmed

c. Uses restorative practices, active listening and de-escalation

strategies to manage situations constructively

d. Builds trusting relationships and creates a safe, confidential

space for students to share concerns

e. Promotes positive coping strategies, emotional regulation and

resilience

2. Case Management & Well-being Monitoring

. Identifies, monitors and supports students who may be

vulnerable or at risk (e.g. mental health, social, or familyrelated concerns)

. Maintains regular check-ins and track changes in student

behaviour, attendance and well-being

. Works collaboratively with Year Heads (YH), School

Counsellors and Discipline Mistress to ensure coordinated

support

. Keeps accurate, confidential records of incidents,

interventions and student progress

3. Safeguarding & Crisis Intervention

. Responds promptly to incidents such as emotional

breakdowns, conflicts or aggressive behaviour

. De-escalates situations while prioritising the safety and wellbeing of all students involved

. Provides immediate emotional support and helps stabilise

students during crisis

4. Preventive & Well-being Programmes

. Plans, conducts or supports Social-emotional learning (SEL)

and Peer support initiatives

. Supports early intervention efforts to prevent escalation of

behavioural or emotional issues

. Encourages peer connectedness

5. Family & Stakeholder Engagement

. Communicates sensitively with parents/guardians regarding

student well-being and behavioural concerns when needed

. Coordinates with external agencies (e.g. social services,

mental health professionals) when additional support is

required
