STUDENT INTERN (FINANCE)

job Description

• Assisting with financial analysis, reporting, and data compilation for internal stakeholders and management

• Supporting the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and budgetary documents

• Conducting research on market trends, financial metrics, and industry benchmarks relevant to corporate and institutional banking

• Assisting with reconciliation of accounts and verification of financial transactions

• Maintaining and organising financial records and documentation in accordance with company procedures

• Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc projects and special initiatives as required

• Liaising with other departments to gather financial information and clarify queries

• Learning and applying best practices in financial management and compliance within a banking environment

Requirement

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

• Strong numeracy skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with large datasets and financial information

• Solid understanding of basic financial principles, accounting concepts, and banking operations

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly

• Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively within a team environment

• Eagerness to learn and develop knowledge of corporate and institutional banking practices

• Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines

• Familiarity with financial analysis tools and databases is desirable

• Previous internship or work experience in finance or banking is preferred but not essential
