Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and academically proficient Student Care Teacher to mentor and guide Primary 1 to Primary 6 students. This position focuses on providing academic support in core subjects and fostering a positive learning environment during the critical after-school window.
Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted supervision and coaching for Primary 1 to Primary 6 students on school homework in English, Mathematics, and Mandarin to improve academic performance
- Assist students in mastering daily spelling tasks (Ting Xie and English Spelling) and prepare them effectively for weighted assessments
- Maintain a disciplined and nurturing classroom environment for groups of approximately 15-20 students to support focused learning and positive behavior
- Monitor and support students emotional and social development to ensure their holistic well-being during after-school care
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide clear updates on their child's academic progress and behavioral conduct
- Commit reliably to the 1.30 PM - 6.30PM shift to ensure consistent student support during after-school hours
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- GCE A Levels or a Polytechnic Diploma
- Effective bilingual proficiency in Mandarin to guide and correct Primary level Mandarin, including composition and characters
- Strong foundational knowledge of the current MOE Primary School Syllabus for English and Mathematics
- Ability to engage children and parents through clear and empathetic communication
