Job Description
Ramboll is part of an EPC project, where we are working as Clients Engineer for the EPC contractor located in Singapore. The Structural Engineering lead will act as representative for the EPC contractor during design execution at EPC contractors office in Singapore.

In your role as Structural Engineering Lead, your focus will be to ensure that the fabrication of the structure adheres to overall specifications / technical requirements and the design already developed by the engineering contractor. As such, it will be your responsibility to follow up on progress, site queries non- conformance, facilitate minor adjustment as needed and daily technical clarifications. In doing so, you shall collaborate closely with representatives from the EPC contractor, the fabrication contractor, the engineering contractor other disciplines and representatives from the client as required.

  • Liaise with other disciplines for coordination and conflicts.
  • Coordinate structural engineering tasks as needed during execution.
  • Follow up on structural progress and evaluate / oversee quality from the EPC contractor.
  • Visit the construction site to ensure compliance with detailed design and follow upon technical clarifications.

Job Qualifications / Skills

You must have a result-oriented, proactive and systematic approach to your work. You enjoy working both independently and together with co-workers - from both the engineering team and the EPC team thus experience in both design and fabrication is preferred - and other parties being engaged during the execution. Teamwork is essential to achieve results. Your competencies:

  • Have a master's degree in structural engineering.
  • Have extensive experience in structural offshore engineering - preferably with offshore substation design and fabrication - with a minimum of 15 years of experience (majority to be within Offshore Substations) combined with managing of complex engineering tasks related to structural and multidiscipline scopes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of offshore structure design standards and codes is preferred - the design is following DNV standards, where DNV-ST-0145 or older revision is governing.
  • Basic understanding of offshore structural fabrication standards and codes is preferred - DNV standards, where DNV-OS-C401 is governing for the fabrication.
  • Basic understanding of Marine operations and marine warranty standard DNV-ST-N001.
  • Basic understanding of general standards including OSHA and knowledge of other technical scopes related to the design of the offshore substation is preferred.
  • Speak and write English fluently.
  • Have excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey complex technical information.

Join the Structures Department

We represent a strong group with comprehensive experience in design and analysis of Offshore Substations for Offshore windfarms. The current position is working as the EPC contractor representative at EPC contractors office. A contract period of 5 months is currently foreseen with an estimated start on site from May 2026 to September 2026.
