Job Summary
The Strategy and Planning Manager is responsible for driving group-wide strategic planning initiatives to support long-term growth, performance, and sustainability. This role works closely with senior leadership and business units to develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the Group's vision, priorities, and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the Group's short-, mid-, and long-term strategic plans.
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable plans, initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
- Support annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes in alignment with strategic priorities.
- Monitor execution of strategic initiatives and track progress against defined KPIs.
- Conduct market, industry, and competitive analyses to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Prepare strategic papers, business cases, and presentations for senior management and the Board.
- Identify opportunities to enhance strategic planning processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Promote a strategic mindset and disciplined planning culture across the organisation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Strategy, or a related field MBA or equivalent is an advantage.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, management consulting, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written English and Japanese language for report generation and presentation to senior leadership in Japan and United States.
- Good understanding of the Japanese culture.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders in both Japan and the United States.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and work effectively in a matrix or group environment.
- High level of business acumen, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
