THE ROLE
We are seeking a Strategy Director Execution & Governance reporting to the Head of Strategy, to drive enterprise-wide execution of strategic priorities. This role sits within the Strategy function and ensures the company's strategy translates into clear milestones, cross-functional ownership, timely decisions, and measurable delivery.
You will work closely with C-level stakeholders and senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Sales, Delivery, Customer Success, Finance, and Regions to align timelines, manage interdependencies, and escalate risks early. This role is ideal for a leader who combines strategic context with strong program governance, stakeholder management, and the ability to push through ambiguity and challenges to keep critical initiatives on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive execution of enterprise priorities
- Translate strategic goals into structured execution plans with clear scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Establish and run cadenced execution rhythms to ensure progress and accountability.
- Ensure delivery stays aligned to strategy and commitments
- Run governance and steer decisions
- Own governance across specific critical strategic initiatives
- Create clarity on decision rights and support timely decisions by elevating trade-offs and options for senior leadership
- Proactively surface misalignments and remove blockers
- Implement a rigorous approach to risk identification, mitigation, and escalation (schedule, scope, budget, quality, resourcing, reputational risk).
- Maintain integrated views of progress across streams, highlighting slippage early and driving corrective actions.
- Ensure high-quality execution reporting that is transparent, concise, and decision-oriented.
- Stakeholder management at C-level
- Act as a key partner to senior leadershipsupporting preparation for ExCo/Board-level discussions when required.
- Communicate complex progress and issues simply, with strong narratives and so what implications.
- Maintain executive-grade materials (briefs, steering packs, milestones, dashboards).

- Strategic initiatives are delivered on time, with clear ownership and minimal churn.
- Execution priorities are aligned across functions and regions; silo friction decreases.

Experience & Qualifications
- 15 years of experience in transformation, strategy execution, PMO / program governance, or operating model delivery within banking and/or enterprise technology.
- Demonstrated track record driving cross-functional transformation in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong understanding of how banking software businesses operate (product/platform, delivery, GTM, client execution).
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and C-level executives, managing competing priorities and conflicts.
- Experience in top-tier consulting is valued, but not required (e.g., strategy consulting, transformation office, COO function, product/portfolio governance).
- Education: Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree (MBA / Masters) beneficial.
