About the Team:

Our Infrastructure team provides the end-to-end managed services and solutions for the entire group's Internet infrastructure alongside running business applications. We excel in building the architecture, providing solutions, deployment and operations of data centers, connectivity, cloud, networking, servers, system, storage, software, platforms, communications and security. We are a proud provider of high-quality and stable running business applications and services to our business units.

As a Strategy & Commercial Specialist with a focus on Cloud within the Infrastructure team, You will serve as the primary interface and act as the process owner responsible for managing suppliers and internal customers. In this position, you will play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient infrastructure products/services for the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive SaaS and API services strategy, solution evaluation, vendor engagement, and cost optimization, ensuring our solutions align with business growth.

Job Description:

  • Assist in planning, developing and implementing comprehensive IT infrastructure strategies tailored to the business needs and prospects, with a focus on Cloud services, including but not limited to IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and API services.
  • Adopt industrial standards and best practices; drive and govern related frameworks, SOPs and templates/checklists within the Infra team to optimize the organization's operations process.
  • Conduct research, provide market insights and analysis on the relevant trends and emerging solutions to support business decision making processes.
  • Engage suppliers and formulate solutions based on user requirements.
  • Lead the qualification, evaluation, selection, negotiation processes on commercial aspects when requesting proposals from vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute operational efficiency improvement plans.
  • Manage the end to end supplier and partner relationship.
  • Support on operation matters, such as invoice verification, dispute resolution, payment processing etc.
  • Support continuous improvement in financial governance, vendor accountability, and project delivery.
  • Budget planning and monitoring of the costs for Cloud services.
  • Other tasks separately assigned in addition to the above.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in communication, IT or other technical field; and other relevant working experience are also considered
  • Minimum 3 year's working experience in relevant fields
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Good knowledge of cloud services, understanding the components, constructs and high level architecture and use cases in Internet companies.
  • Market knowledge is preferred
  • Proven working experience in the procurement capacity is an added advantage
  • Aptitude in working with numbers
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
