Job Description
About Aleph
Aleph was founded by engineers who lived a problem firsthand: solving operational issues in asset-intensive industries required deep domain expertise that was scarce, impossible to scale, and locked inside the heads of a handful of experienced people. There was no product that captured this knowledge and made it available on demand. So we built one. Aleph is an AI agent platform trained on the physics, chemistry, and operational knowledge specific to each industry we serve, giving engineers and operators across chemicals, pharmaceuticals, utilities, aviation, and logistics the capability to troubleshoot faster, optimise continuously, and make better decisions without being limited by the availability of human expertise.
We are pre-Series A-funded, Singapore-based, and at an early but decisive commercial stage, with customers across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. We are scaling toward Series A and building toward a future where every engineer and operator in asset-intensive industry has an AI agent trained to their domain. This is a large, largely untouched problem. The companies that solve it will define a category. We intend to be one of them.
The Role
This is a high-ownership commercial role sitting directly under the CEO. You will own how Aleph grows: the channels we sell through, the price we charge, the partnerships we build, and the story we tell investors as we raise our Series A.
Aleph has proven that the product works and that enterprise customers will pay for it. The next phase is converting that proof into a repeatable commercial engine. You are the person who builds it. You will work alongside the CEO on every commercial decision that matters, and you will be expected to lead the execution rather than wait for direction.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Growth and Commercial Strategy
- Identify, build, and manage new go-to-market and sales channels end to end, from spotting the opportunity through to activating the channel and driving measurable revenue through it
- Own the land and expand motion alongside the CEO: our enterprise customers operate twenty to forty facilities each, and growing from one site to many is the single largest revenue lever we have
- Develop and continuously improve Aleph's pricing model, packaging, and contract structure across customer segments; identify where Aleph is leaving money on the table and build the commercial mechanisms to close those gaps
- Build and manage partnerships as a route to market: identify system integrators, distributors, and industry bodies that multiply Aleph's commercial reach, structure the economics, and manage the relationships to drive revenue
- Identify which product outcomes drive retention and expansion among existing customers, and feed those signals back into the sales motion to improve win rates
- Own Aleph's competitive positioning: track the landscape, understand how Aleph is perceived against alternatives, and continuously sharpen how we are priced, packaged, and positioned
2. Commercial and Partnership Execution
- Join the CEO in enterprise and C-suite customer meetings, partner discussions, and commercial negotiations as an active contributor
- Map buying committees at large enterprise accounts: identify decision makers, build internal champions, and design the path to organisation-wide adoption
- Own the commercial pipeline operationally: forecasting, conversion tracking, and reporting against targets
- Build and maintain proposals, commercial materials, and sales playbooks that make the motion repeatable as the team grows
- Drive outbound and channel-led lead generation in support of revenue targets
3. Fundraising and Finance Support
- Own the Series A preparation process operationally: data room build and maintenance, financial modelling, KPI dashboards, and due diligence coordination
- Own financial planning and analysis: build and maintain the operating model, track burn and runway against plan, and flag variances early enough to act on them
- Own the commercial and financial reporting cadence to the CEO and board: revenue, pipeline conversion, unit economics, and the metrics that determine whether Aleph hits its Series A milestones
- Prepare investor-ready materials, supporting analysis, and the metrics story behind the raise
- Manage the investor update cadence: monthly and quarterly updates to existing investors, board observers, and warm prospects
- Research and qualify target investors for Series A, including financial VCs, corporate VCs, and strategic investors aligned with our expansion across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone commercially sharp and genuinely hands-on. You have sold, priced, partnered, or built a channel yourself. You can build a model and also sit in the room when the deal is negotiated. You are equally comfortable in a spreadsheet and in front of a plant director who has been doing the job for twenty years.
Requirements
- 6 to 7 years of working experience in a B2B or enterprise technology environment, with direct involvement in growth, go-to-market, commercial strategy, or enterprise sales
- Hands-on commercial experience: you have built or managed a sales channel, a pricing model, or a partnership, rather than only analysing one
- Experience working closely with founders or senior leadership, with a track record of driving outcomes independently
- Strong financial literacy: you can build and interrogate a commercial model, understand unit economics, and speak credibly about business performance to investors
- Comfort in enterprise sales environments with long cycles, multiple stakeholders, and procurement-heavy buyers
- Strong written and verbal communication: you can distil complex commercial information into a clear narrative for customers, partners, and investors
- High ownership mentality and comfort with ambiguity: you identify what needs to be done and do it
Alternatively
- 2 to 3 years in investment banking, venture capital, or strategy consulting, followed by at least 4 years in a B2B tech startup in a commercial, growth, or strategy role where you owned outcomes independently
- The structured background gives you modelling rigour and investor communication skills. The startup years mean you have already operated without the scaffolding.
Good to Have
- Background in or exposure to asset-intensive industries including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, utilities, aviation, or logistics
- Experience supporting or running a fundraising process from seed to Series A
- Experience selling or partnering into large enterprise accounts across multiple geographies
Who This Role Is Not For
- Someone who wants to build the strategy and hand the execution to someone else
- Someone who needs a senior commercial leader above them to validate their work before it goes out
- Someone who has only worked in large organisations and has never had to build something from scratch
What We Offer
- Direct partnership with the founding team on every commercial decision that shapes the company
- Meaningful equity with a standard vesting schedule, reflecting genuine skin in the game as we build toward Series A and beyond
- Full ownership of how Aleph grows, at a company with real customers, real revenue, and a clear path to Series A
- A small, high-calibre team with no bureaucracy, no politics, and complete clarity on what matters
- A clear growth path into senior commercial leadership, such as Director of Strategy & Growth and Chief Operating Officer, as Aleph scales
