The impact you'll make

The Advanced Packaging (AP) Market Analyst is responsible for analyzing market trends & technologies in the dynamic semiconductor AP ecosystem. This role supports strategic decision making by providing insights into industry roadmap, customer requirement and emerging 2.XD/3D AP technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Long-term AP process equipment business forecast & market sizing to aid strategy discussion
  • Build & maintain market model for TAM, SAM, market share, which includes the broad scope of AP process technology for both wafer & panel
  • Support corporate analytics team in publishing TAM/SAM/Share at required cadence and collaborate with various groups/accounts in aligning AP market capacity demand vs expansion plans, supply-demand gaps, etc.
  • Support Strategic/Exec Business Review meetings, providing insights into market trends, technology roadmap, business impact & ROI assessment
  • Manage engagements with market research firms, propose and lead programs for deeper understanding of emerging, critical or strategic equipment markets
  • Support various product groups in AP device cost modelling, product marketing initiative & competitive intelligence
  • Support Lam branding initiative at key semiconductor tradeshows and technical conferences for AP, include supporting keynote slides, leveraging these events to strengthen market trend awareness & build network with industry leader
  • Take on ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

Who We're Looking For

  • Degree, Masters or equivalent with minimum 5-8 years experience in Semiconductor Wafer (and Panel) Level Equipment provider or Market Research/Consulting firms - both with focus in Advanced Packaging
  • Strong understanding of the latest advanced packaging technology trend, various flavors of advanced packaging platforms, include insights into end market segment adoption
  • Familiar with advanced packaging integration process flow, ability to build/maintain application model which traces critical process sequences
  • Proficient in MS power point, with ability to build (for external & internal) market insights, technology trend and strategic business impact slides
  • Data analysis & reporting, with proficient use of excel, knowledge with VBA/macro/query/JMP/Python is an advantage
  • Experience in Advanced Packaging wafer level packaging, assembly & test cost modelling is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Team player who is able to work with multiple groups from different functions & geographic locations

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
