We are is looking for a highly driven, analytical and technology-minded individual to join our Legal & Compliance Department as a Strategic Legal & Compliance Management Trainee.
This is a long-term development role designed for individuals who are interested not only in traditional legal and compliance work, but also in compliance management, operational transformation, AI applications, product design and department strategy.
Working closely with the Team Manager and senior members of the Legal & Compliance function, you will support the management and development of the department, help improve compliance processes and products, and participate in the design and deployment of technology and AI solutions to enhance the team's effectiveness.
The role is suitable for both high-potential fresh graduates and candidates with relevant working experience who are looking to build a long-term career in legal, compliance, risk management, operations or compliance technology.
Key Responsibilities
1. Department & Management Support
- Work closely with the Team Manager to provide management and administrative support to department heads and senior management.
- Assist with departmental administration, corporate management, team management and internal coordination.
- Support the tracking of departmental priorities, projects, deliverables and follow-up actions.
- Help identify operational gaps, management issues and potential risks, and proactively escalate matters requiring management attention.
- Support the development and implementation of internal management processes, workflows and governance mechanisms.
2. Compliance Strategy & Product Development
- Assist in designing practical compliance products, tools, frameworks and solutions in response to evolving business, regulatory and team requirements.
- Understand internal stakeholders needs and translate compliance requirements into practical processes, checklists, systems, dashboards or other operational solutions.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of compliance processes and controls.
- Conduct research on regulatory developments, industry practices and emerging compliance risks where required.
3. AI, Technology & Process Transformation
- Assist in identifying opportunities to use AI, automation and technology to improve Legal & Compliance operations.
- Participate in the design, testing and deployment of AI-enabled compliance tools and internal products.
- Help streamline repetitive compliance tasks, reporting processes, knowledge management and workflow management.
- Work with internal stakeholders and technical teams to translate compliance requirements into technology or product requirements.
- Continuously explore new tools and technologies that may improve the efficiency, scalability and quality of the team's operations.
4. Compliance Training & Knowledge Management
- Assist the Compliance team in preparing and delivering internal compliance training.
- Develop training materials, guidance notes, presentations, internal knowledge bases and practical compliance tools.
- Help translate complex regulatory or compliance requirements into clear and practical guidance for business teams.
- Support the organisation and maintenance of departmental knowledge and learning materials.
5. Management Reporting & Strategic Planning
- Assist the Team Manager in preparing annual, quarterly and periodic departmental reports for management.
- Support the preparation of management presentations, project updates, risk summaries, performance reports and strategic planning materials.
- Collect, organise and analyse information from different teams to support management decision-making.
- Assist with departmental planning, project tracking and performance monitoring.
6. Day-to-Day Legal & Compliance Support
- Support the team with general legal, compliance and regulatory matters as required.
- Assist with compliance reviews, research, documentation, internal controls and other operational tasks.
- Coordinate with different teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance matters are properly followed up and completed.
- Take ownership of assigned matters and proactively follow through until completion.

Candidates should be highly comfortable with computers and technology.
Experience or knowledge in any of the following will be considered an advantage:

A formal computer science background is not required. However, candidates who demonstrate strong technical aptitude and an ability to independently learn and apply new technologies will be strongly preferred.
Language Requirements
- Fluent English and Chinese are required.
- Candidates should be comfortable communicating professionally in both languages.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills will be advantageous.
