Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate end-to-end project delivery in Japan, ensuring on-time execution and quality standards
- Drive hands-on project execution, making timely decisions and adapting plans to meet business objectives
- Manage delivery timelines, system integrations, and coordination with local partners and stakeholders
- Act as the key liaison between local stakeholders and HQ by translating business, technical, and compliance requirements
- Adapt global products, content, and marketing assets to ensure cultural relevance and local market fit in Japan
- Ensure documentation, communication, and execution align with Japanese corporate and professional standards
- Conduct regular market intelligence activities to anticipate risks and address potential roadblocks proactively
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with local insurance carriers, travel companies, and distribution partners
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including product, technical, operations, and compliance functions
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients, presenting performance metrics, insights, and strategic recommendations
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings in Japan
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in project or program management within insurance, technology, or digital partnership environments
- Strong understanding of Japanese corporate culture, governance practices, and customer expectations
- Proven ability to manage projects independently with a hands-on, structured, and execution-focused approach
- Demonstrated decision-making capability with flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
- Solid technical understanding with the ability to interpret and communicate technical requirements, including AI/ML applications in insurance
- Proficiency in Japanese languages for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders (JLPT N1 or N2 is an added advantage)
