Job Description

The client of ours is a Global Conglomerate within the Technology Service Industry with presence across America, Europe and Asia Pacific. They are currently expanding their footprint in APAC and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Account Manager to be based here in Singapore. You'll be reporting in directly to their Global HQ in USA.

You are responsible for developing and executing account strategies that strengthen relationships with key clients and drive sustainable revenue growth. This role focuses on managing high-value strategic accounts, often engaging with senior-level stakeholders to expand business opportunities and maximize long-term partnerships. You are required to oversee sales initiatives for designated strategic accounts rather than a geographic territory and may lead or coordinate a team supporting major clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue growth and strengthen long-term client relationships.
  • Lead or support a team of Strategic Account Managers responsible for managing key accounts.
  • Coordinate the strategic planning process with Strategic Account Managers, sales representatives, leadership, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Define annual goals, priorities, and performance expectations for the team in alignment with leadership guidance.
  • Support initiatives to acquire new customers and expand business with existing clients through global account agreements.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to monitor performance, address challenges, and identify new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Introduce and implement new tools, systems, or process improvements to enhance account management effectiveness.
  • Mentor and coach sales team members on strategic selling techniques and engagement with senior decision-makers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic sales and/or large account management.
  • 2+ years of experience managing people or overseeing large programs.
  • 2+ years of executive-level selling experience, preferably within a related industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, resource allocation, and team leadership.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across different organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required.
