The Strategic Account Director Public Sector Role

Qlik is seeking an exceptional Strategic Account Director Public Sector to lead and expand our most critical Singapore public sector accounts. This is a high-impact, senior sales role responsible for driving multi-year growth across key ministries, statutory boards, and large public sector agencies.

This role goes beyond account management. The successful candidate will act as a trusted strategic advisor, a demand creator, and a relentless business hunterable to uncover latent needs, shape new initiatives, and build long-term analytics and data platform roadmaps that deliver measurable public sector outcomes.

What makes this role interesting

Strategic Account Ownership

  • Own and grow a defined portfolio of tier-1 Singapore public sector accounts, with responsibility for revenue, expansion, and long-term account health.
  • Develop and execute multi-year account strategies and transformation roadmaps, aligned to national digitalisation priorities, data governance, AI, and cloud initiatives.
  • Establish Qlik as a strategic partner, not a point-solution vendor, across each assigned account.

New Demand Creation & Opportunity Development

  • Act as a natural business huntercontinuously identifying new use cases, programs, and funding opportunities within each account.
  • Proactively uncover unmet and emerging needs across data integration, analytics, AI, governance, and operational intelligence.
  • Drive net-new demand through executive-level engagement, value-based selling, and solution positioning.

Solution & Value Leadership

  • Architect end-to-end solutions that combine software licenses, professional services, and partner capabilities to ensure successful customer outcomes.
  • Work closely with pre-sales, services, partners, and customer success teams to deliver holistic, outcome-driven proposals.
  • Build strong ROI and business-case narratives tailored to public sector decision-making frameworks.

Executive & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Naturally connect with senior civil servants, CIOs, CDOs, and business leaders.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments, procurement processes, and governance structures with confidence and credibility.
  • Represent Qlik as a senior leader in strategic account discussions, steering committees, and executive briefings.

Sales Excellence

  • Consistently deliver and exceed annual and multi-year revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and deal governance.
  • Serve as a role model for disciplined, high-performance enterprise selling.

We're Looking For a Teammate With

  • Minimum 10 years of direct experience selling enterprise software solutions into the Singapore public sector, with proven ownership of large, strategic accounts.
  • Strong track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder public sector deals and long sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute multi-year account growth plans.
  • Proven experience in new demand creation, not just renewal or incumbent expansion.
  • Strong solution-selling background, with the ability to package licenses + services + partners into compelling, outcome-focused offerings.
  • Deep understanding of Singapore public sector procurement, governance, and digital transformation priorities.
  • Consistent President's Club winner or equivalent top-tier sales recognition, demonstrating sustained elite performance.
