Essential Functions
- Responsible for the stock movement, receiving, storing, issuing, picking, packing, labelling, documenting and delivering.
- Will also accompany transport drivers to various locations when required to assist with the delivery and movement of goods including hand carry.
- Always maintain accurate and updated inventory records using excel and any other available systems.
- Report discrepancies (including shortage, damage, improper packing, etcetera) to purchasers on received items versus delivery orders and purchase orders.
- Always maintain good housekeeping of the Company's goods storage area, including organizing and preparation of goods for efficient dispatch daily.
- Work closely with the logistics executive to ensure required inventory to be dispatched within the requested time frame and minimize delay.
- Communicate effectively with the Purchasing Team, Technical Team, Workshop Team and internal users to fulfill material and logistics needs.
- Assist to load and unload equipment or other items onto the delivery vehicle.
- Disseminate monthly master inventory list to stakeholders.
- Perform periodic stock-takes and inventory checks and disseminate findings to stakeholders.
- Always maintain store cleanliness and orderliness.
- Ensure proper handling, stacking, and storage of goods to prevent damage and trip hazards.
- Work closely with the purchasing department and stakeholders to ensure store resources are fully consumed before fresh requisition can be raised and/or add requisition when items fall below minimum stock quantity.
- Ensure security of store and restrict unauthorized personnel from entering store without valid approval.
- Contribute suggestions to improving store and logistics efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with the Company's safety management procedures.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum O level & minimum two years of experience in managing store.
- Marine industry experience and proven capability in managing the store will be an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of store procedures and processes.
- Strong organization skills, organize storage layout for safe, accessible, and space-efficient stock placement.
- Responsible and committed to fulfilling the material needs of stakeholders.
- Physically and mentally strong, capable of managing the store alone.
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Fast learner.
- Honest, dependable, and ethical in handling company property and information.
- Ability to think out of box and reorganize store.
- Office IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Good attention to details.
- Confident in coordinating multiple internal and external parties to achieve objectives.
- Calm under pressure and able to adapt to unexpected challenges.
- Upholds a high level of self-discipline and professionalism, working respectfully and collaboratively with colleagues, drivers and stakeholders to ensure smooth store operations.
