Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily storage and data management system monitoring by using NetApp monitoring tools together.
- Review the emails alerts and AIQ reports.
- Actively contributes to documentation, ensuring processes and technical standards are clearly defined and consistently updated.
- Provisioning of SAN and NAS, including SAN Switch Zoning.
- Perform Clustered ONTAP and firmware upgrades and recommendations, including SAN switches
- Participates in a weekly or bi-weekly project status meeting
- Ability to work beyond business hours and weekends for work contingencies, if required
- Participate in the Customers change management meetings, if required
Core Competencies:
- NetApp FAS/AFF with cluster interconnect switches
- Advanced understanding of storage protocols such as CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, and NVMe.
- Unified Manager, LogicMonitor, System Manager and Cloud Insight (now known as DII).
- Solid understanding of supporting technologies, including
o Networking fundamentals and architecture
o Server platforms and virtualization such as VMware ESXi and HyperVisor
o Basic system administration, e.g. CentOS, Ubuntu, or Red Hat and Windows
