About the Role
We are looking for a Storage & Backup Engineer to support the administration, maintenance and operations of enterprise storage, backup and object storage platforms.

You will play a key role in ensuring platform reliability, data protection, service availability and operational efficiency within a managed infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities
Storage Administration

• Administer and support HPE Alletra storage platforms.
  
  
• Perform storage provisioning, LUN creation, mapping and capacity management.
  
  
• Monitor storage utilisation and performance.
  
  
• Support storage maintenance and upgrade activities.
  
  

Backup & Object Storage

• Administer Cloudian Object Storage environments.
  
  
• Manage buckets, users, policies and platform upgrades.
  
  
• Support backup and recovery operations using Veeam Kasten.
  
  
• Validate backup integrity and recovery procedures.
  
  

Infrastructure Operations

• Configure and maintain HPE ToR switch connectivity supporting storage environments.
  
  
• Troubleshoot storage and network connectivity issues.
  
  
• Manage incidents, changes, service requests and root cause analysis.
  
  

Platform Maintenance

• Conduct proactive health checks and monitoring.
  
  
• Support patching and maintenance activities.
  
  
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of relevant storage and backup administration experience
  
  
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise storage and backup platforms.
  
  
• Experience in an enterprise or managed services environment.
  
  
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  
  
• Ability to independently manage operational activities.
  
  
• Good communication and customer service skills.
  
  
• Willingness to travel or work across different customer sites when required.
• Education: Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
