We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stewarding Supervisor to oversee daily stewarding operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all kitchen and back-of-house areas. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting culinary and F&B teams through effective supervision, training, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate stewarding staff on daily operations
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards comply with hygiene and safety regulations
- Manage dishwashing operations, waste disposal, and cleaning schedules
- Conduct daily briefings and assign duties to stewarding staff
- Monitor the correct use and maintenance of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery
- Inspect kitchen and storage areas to ensure compliance with company standards
- Support inventory control of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Train, motivate, and discipline stewarding team members as required
- Report maintenance issues, shortages, or incidents to management
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a stewarding or similar supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of hygiene, health, and safety standards
- Leadership ability with good people-management skills
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hotel, restaurant, or large-scale catering operations
- Basic understanding of food safety standards (e.g. HACCP)
