Job Description
1. Lab & Equipment Management
Prepare & Maintain: Set up equipment (Micro:bit, sensors, circuits) for lessons and ensure all devices (3D printers, laser cutters, VR systems) are in good working order.
Inventory Control: Conduct regular stock checks, manage the checklist of peripherals, and handle the recording and condemnation of damaged or missing items.
Procurement Support: Assist the STEM Programme Committee by consolidating purchase requests from staff and students into a cohesive procurement plan.
2. Classroom & Student Support
Instructional Assistance: Support teachers and trainers during lessons by helping students with projects and experiments.
Workshop Facilitation: (Preferred) Conduct workshops or training sessions for students and accompany them on learning journeys or to STEM competitions as a chaperone.
Supervision: Oversee students during Makerspace activities to ensure the safe and proper use of tools and equipment.
3. Programme Development & Safety
Safety & Procedures: Establish and enforce safety protocols for the Makerspace, managing access and training requirements for users.
Curriculum Support: Collaborate with teachers to integrate Makerspace resources into the curriculum and support the school's STEM goals.
Cleanliness: Ensure both the JOULES Smart Centre and Makerspace are kept clean, safe, and organized at all times.
Professional Development
Participate in training sessions (conducted by vendors or colleagues) to stay updated on STEM tools and trends
