Duties & Responsibilities
- Boat navigation
- Maintain and upkeep the condition of the vessel under your charge
- Maintain government-issued certifications as required
- Lower and man lifeboats when emergencies occur
- Stand by wheels when ships are on automatic pilot and verify accuracy of courses using magnetic compasses
- Steer ships under the direction of commanders or navigation officers or direct helmsmen to steer, following designated courses
- Take instructions from Management (and Client) and to inform office of any problems arising during daily operations
- Any other responsibilities as instructed by the Management
- Able to do shift work
Requirement
- MPA Helmsman /Steersman (Port Limit) / MPA SR license or equivalent
- Pass an approved eyesight test
- Must have at least 1year launch boat experience
- Able to work long hours
