The Company
Our client is a well established Singapore-headquartered company with global operations, specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of industrial equipment and tools. As part of its continued growth and expansion, the Group is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead its regional and international finance functions.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role overseeing finance, tax, governance, and strategic financial management across a diversified Group comprising import/export operations, a manufacturing entity, and overseas sales & distribution subsidiaries.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO, you will act as a strategic business partner to senior management-driving financial discipline, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building scalable financial processes to support the Group's long-term growth. Your responsibilities include
Group Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead group-wide accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting across multiple entities.
- Deliver timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and audit processes.
- Manage external audits and liaise with auditors and advisors.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Drive annual budgeting and periodic forecasting across the Group.
- Track performance vs. budget, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
- Conduct financial modelling and profitability analysis by product, market, and entity.
Cash Flow, Treasury & Working Capital
- Manage group cash flow, liquidity, and working capital needs.
- Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, trade finance, and FX exposure.
- Partner with sales and operations on credit control, inventory, and funding matters.
Tax Management & Compliance
- Oversee corporate, indirect, and cross-border tax compliance for all jurisdictions.
- Ensure timely filings and manage tax audits and queries.
- Implement tax efficient structures for trading, manufacturing, and distribution.
Transfer Pricing & Intercompany
- Develop and maintain transfer pricing policies aligned with regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance for intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate transfer pricing reviews with external tax advisors.
Internal Controls, Governance & Risk
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and SOPs across the Group.
- Identify financial, operational, and tax risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Uphold consistent governance standards across subsidiaries.
Systems, Process Improvement & Leadership
- Enhance financial systems, ERP capabilities, and reporting efficiency.
- Improve month-end close processes and reporting cycle times.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a strong performance culture.
Strategic & Commercial Support
- Advise senior management on strategy, expansion, and investment decisions.
- Support new market entry, overseas entity setup, joint ventures, and M&A activities.
- Provide financial insights that support long-term business growth.
Your Profile
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following relevant skills sets and experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant finance experience, including group
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate and indirect taxation, transfer pricing, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Regional exposure with experience managing different time zones.
- Proven managerial experience in managing staff locally as well as remotely.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or import export environments is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-entity, multi-country environment.
