Communication Hub:Acts as the central point of contact, relaying the director's instructions to designers, technicians, and performers, and disseminating information to all departments.
Scheduling & Planning:Creates and maintains rehearsal and performance schedules, including technical rehearsals, and ensures they are followed by the company.
Rehearsal Management:Records director's notes, helps organize the rehearsal space, and may provide feedback or notes to actors.
Technical Cueing:Manages the timing of lighting, sound, and set changes, giving cues to performers and technicians during the performance.
Backstage Supervision:Oversees all backstage activities, including set changes, props management, and the activities of stage crew members.
Prompt Book:Creates and maintains the prompt book, a detailed binder containing all cues, schedules, blocking, and other vital production information.
Safety & Welfare:Ensures the safety of the production, including the set, equipment, and performers, and monitors the well-being of the cast and crew.
