Staff Specialist, EHSS Business Systems

As the Staff Specialist, EHSS Business Systems, you will serve as the technical-functional specialist for SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow, and the broader EHSS business systems landscape. Your initial focus will be ensuring EHSS readiness for SAP S/4HANA while strengthening ServiceNow-enabled workflows and interoperability across connected enterprise systems.

You will partner with EHSS subject-matter experts, site teams, program managers, IT, SMAI, enterprise program teams, and implementation partners to ensure EHSS systems are integrated, supportable, compliant, and fit for purpose. You will provide the enduring systems expertise needed to inform technical-functional decisions, validate delivered solutions, and sustain the connected EHSS systems landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Own EHSS Business Systems Expertise

• Serve as the EHSS technical-functional specialist for SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow, and related business systems.

• Translate approved business and regulatory requirements into functional designs, workflows, system requirements, and acceptance criteria.

• Assess standard platform capabilities, configuration options, functional gaps, system dependencies, and sustainment implications.

• Evaluate proposed system designs for business fit, compliance, controls, usability, scalability, maintainability, and auditability.

• Provide technical-functional expertise during design, testing, cutover, stabilization, and sustainment activities.

Define Systems Integration and Interoperability

• Define functional requirements across SAP, ServiceNow, EHSS applications, enterprise platforms, integrations, and related data flows.

• Assess the effects of system changes across business processes, workflows, applications, users, controls, and upstream and downstream dependencies.

• Define functional interface, workflow handoff, system-of-record, exception-handling, access, and audit requirements.

• Partner with EHSS, data teams, IT, SMAI, and implementation teams to ensure solutions are connected, supportable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

• Support the interoperability requirements needed for trusted data, analytics, automation, AI-enabled workflows, and future digital capabilities.

Steward the EHSS Systems Landscape

• Maintain an end-to-end view of EHSS systems, capabilities, functional boundaries, dependencies, interfaces, and system-of-record requirements.

• Find opportunities to improve integration, reduce duplication, address technical debt, and strengthen long-term supportability.

• Evaluate technology and product roadmaps and recommend whether systems should be enhanced, integrated, consolidated, replaced, or retired.

• Maintain critical functional documentation and knowledge continuity for the EHSS systems landscape.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8-12+ years of experience in business systems, SAP functional delivery, enterprise applications, systems analysis, or a related technical-functional field.

• Significant experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA in a technical-functional capacity.

• Experience translating complex business and regulatory processes into functional requirements, workflows, system designs, and acceptance criteria.

• Experience with SAP transformation, fit-to-standard assessment, implementation, or modernization.

• Experience working with ServiceNow or a comparable enterprise workflow platform.

• Solid understanding of end-to-end business processes, enterprise systems, integrations, workflow controls, and functional dependencies.

• Experience evaluating standard functionality, configuration, integration, and customization options.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with business SMEs, program managers, architects, developers, system integrators, and enterprise teams.

• Good communication skills, including the ability to explain systems concepts, options, risks, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP EHS, EHSM, Product Compliance, or related SAP capabilities.

• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migration, master data, business roles, testing, cutover, stabilization, or sustainment.

• Experience designing, enhancing, or supporting ServiceNow-enabled business workflows.

• Experience with integrated landscapes involving SAP, ServiceNow, APIs, internal applications, and third-party platforms.

• Understanding of system integrations, workflow orchestration, data exchange, system-of-record, and interoperability concepts.

• Experience with application rationalization, systems roadmaps, or technology lifecycle planning.

• Familiarity with how enterprise platforms, APIs, integrations, and data architectures enable analytics, automation, AI-enabled workflows, and intelligent business processes.

• Experience supporting EHSS, Quality, Manufacturing, Facilities, Supply Chain, or another regulated operational function.

• Experience working in a global, cross-functional organization.

• SAP, ServiceNow, business analysis, enterprise applications, or related professional certifications are an advantage.
