Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to provide onsite first aid and medical support. The successful candidate will support the setup and operation of the onsite first aid room, respond to workplace injuries and medical incidents, and assist with emergency preparedness and health and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain the onsite first aid room to ensure it is properly equipped and operational.
- Provide immediate onsite response to injuries and medical incidents, including initial assessment, stabilisation and preliminary care.
- Develop and implement site-specific SOPs covering emergency response, triage, patient confidentiality, medical documentation and escalation procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of medical incidents and treatment provided.
- Conduct basic first aid training and support evacuation drills in coordination with the FSM/SM.
- Assess, monitor and maintain the availability of essential first aid and medical equipment.
- Ensure readiness of equipment including: Blood pressure monitoring set, Thermometers, Pulse oximeter, Splints, Trauma bag, Wheelchairs, Stretchers, Privacy curtains and other relevant first aid supplies
- Coordinate with relevant site personnel and emergency medical services when further medical assessment or hospital referral is required.
- Support onsite health and safety initiatives and perform other related nursing duties as required.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registration and practising certificate.
- Relevant nursing experience, preferably in emergency care, occupational health, first aid or onsite medical support.
- Good clinical assessment, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to respond calmly and appropriately during medical emergencies.
- Able to work independently and manage onsite medical responsibilities.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification will be an advantage.
Working Schedule
- 8 hours per shift
- 5.5 days per week
- Specific roster and rest day will be communicated by the employer.
