As a Staff Nurse at Lifavel, you play a key role in supporting person-centred care within our non-medical service framework. This role supports client onboarding, conducts non-medical functional assessments within scope to inform care planning and serves as the on-site nursing resource during emergencies, pending appropriate medical escalation where required.

This role focuses on information gathering, risk identification, care planning and coordination. It does not involve medical diagnosis, medical treatment, prescribing or independent clinical decision-making beyond scope.

You will work closely with care staff to support the safety, dignity and overall well-being of each client.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Transitions & Care Planning

  • Support client onboarding and transitions into the sanctuary

  • Conduct non-medical functional assessments within scope to establish baseline support needs

  • Contribute to the development and periodic review of individual care plans

  • Coordinate programme transitions or discharge in collaboration with families and relevant professionals

Ongoing Observation, Coordination & Communication

  • Observe clients general condition and report changes in accordance with established protocols

  • Participate in care coordination with relevant professionals and family members, where appropriate and with consent

  • Support communication with families regarding general observations and non-medical care updates

  • Conduct routine vital sign monitoring and maintain accurate documentation

Safety, Emergency Response & Medication Support

  • Respond promptly to emergencies and perform first aid, CPR and AED intervention when required

  • Initiate timely escalation to emergency medical services or relevant healthcare providers when indicated

  • Support incident reporting and documentation in accordance with Lifavel's established procedures

  • Observe and support clients during self-administration of medication prepared by family members or caregivers, with appropriate escalation where required

Equipment & Environment

  • Ensure proper upkeep of the nursing station, equipment and supplies

  • Maintain inventory of working equipment and valid supplies

  • Work with management to ensure timely maintenance of equipment

  • Support infection control, hygiene and general safety practices within the Lifavel environment

  • Contribute to a calm, respectful and welcoming environment for clients and families

Team Collaboration

  • Participate in team briefings, handovers and care discussions

  • Support wellness and mindfulness programmes & participate in daily sanctuary activities

What This Role Does Not Do

  • Diagnose medical conditions

  • Prescribe, dispense or adjust medications

  • Provide medical treatment or therapy

  • Replace medical advice from doctors or licensed healthcare professionals

  • Guarantee clinical outcomes or improvement

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing

  • Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) with a clean disciplinary record (Conditional licenses are not eligible)

  • Valid BCLS and AED certification

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in eldercare, dementia or community care settings

  • Advanced Diploma in Gerontology preferred

  • Standard First Aid certification preferred

  • Comfortable working in a non-clinical, relationship-based care environment

  • Calm, attentive and decisive especially in emergencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Competent in basic information technology and Microsoft Office

Working Arrangements

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30AM - 6:00PM)

  • Location: Oxley Rise, Singapore

Compensation

  • Salary range: $3,600 to $4,000 per month
