Staff Nurse (LASIK / Refractive-Trained)

Job Description

We are seeking a competent and patient-focused Staff Nurse (LASIK / Refractive-Trained) to support our ophthalmology and refractive surgery services. The incumbent will provide peri-operative nursing care, assist in refractive procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Ophthalmologists in LASIK and other refractive surgical procedures

• Prepare and maintain operating theatre / laser suite for procedures

• Perform pre-operative assessment and post-operative nursing care

• Monitor patients vital signs and recovery status

• Provide patient education on post-surgical care and medication compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation

• Maintain strict infection control standards in accordance with MOH guidelines

• Manage consumables and inventory related to refractive procedures

• Participate in quality improvement and audit activities

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registration

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience

• Experience in ophthalmology / LASIK / refractive procedures preferred

• OT / Day Surgery Centre experience is an advantage

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
