Facilities Building Services - Senior Construction Engineer is responsible for leading and managing building construction and building services projects to achieve safety, cost, schedule, quality, and sustainability objectives. This role covers the full lifecycle of construction and building services-related initiatives, including new installations, maintenance, retrofits, renovations, refurbishments, upgrades, and renewal programs across CSA and M&E systems. Additional responsibilities include facilities maintenance systems administration, support services (cafeteria, janitorial, landscaping, pest control), plumbing and sanitary, office fit-out and layout planning, and building-related maintenance, documentation and administration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring zero safety incidents, on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality outcomes.
Manage project cost control activities, including estimating, budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial performance.
Monitor construction progress, schedule and safety performance to meet key milestones.
Ensure all construction and building services works comply with applicable Singapore building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with Global and Site Facilities, Construction, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, IT, Layout, and Planning teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
Review engineering design packages and provide input on constructability, cost, schedule, value engineering, and prefabrication.
Provide engineering solutions and technical support throughout design and construction phases.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, defect management, and handover to ensure full operational readiness.
Implement risk management strategies and support project justification, estimates, and approvals.
Oversee consultant deliverables to ensure compliance with Micron standards and bestinclass engineering practices.
Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to support team development and performance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance to resolve project challenges.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in building, Construction Management, Project Management, Civil & Structural Engineering, Engineering, or Architecture.
Experience in construction engineering, preferably within the semiconductor or facilities environment.
Strong technical knowledge in construction, building services, and facilities systems.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
