The Recording Media Organization (RMO) Sputter Process Engineering team is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining advanced sputter manufacturing processes for PMR and HAMR media, with a strong focus on process control, realtime monitoring, and continuous improvement. The team provides comprehensive technical and engineering support for ultrahighvacuum (UHV) sputter systems, including equipment upgrades that enhance OEE, reduce both scheduled and unscheduled downtime, strengthen process capability, and improve operational efficiency. In partnership with crossfunctional groups, the team drives productivity gains, cost reduction in indirect materials and consumables, readiness for new product conversions, and improvements in media performance and defect reduction-ensuring reliable, highquality, and scalable manufacturing performance.
About the role - you will:
- Develop the smart sputter process system, a cornerstone of the smart sputter ecosystem. The system auto performs sputter processcontrol and prediction, quality control, and OEE deep dive.
- Refine sputter machine KPIV (Key Process Input Variables) anomalymonitoring system for optimized HAMR and PMR product configuration.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams - Equipment,Process, Launch, Maintenance, IT.

Your experience includes:
- Bachelor/Master degree in AI, data science, computer science, computer engineering or relevant discipline.

You might also have:
- Knowledge of Thin Film / PVD / CVD / Etch / Ion Beam/ Ion Implantation process. Ultra-High Vacuum tool is an added advantage.
