Our assignments consist of disputes in commercial litigation, family law, fraud, business valuations, business disputes, natural and man-made catastrophes, lost profits, and insurance. Our partners and senior staff regularly provide extensive litigation services and expert witness testimony in courts, arbitrations and mediations throughout the world.

The role of Staff Accountant requires the successful candidate to have strong numeracy, communication and analytical skills and be capable of working in teams and independently when required. The role takes on highly administrative, analytical tasks, and sometimes high-volume tasks to support our client's brief - please make sure you are comfortable with this.

This is a full-time role and will be hybrid from the Singapore office. Occasional overseas travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Intermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting data provided by clients or obtained through research to provide accurate analysis of likely business performance
• Physical inventory observation, price testing
• Examination of source documents pertinent to engagement, invoice analysis
• Checking and proofing reports and schedules
• Conducting phone or in person interviews to obtain information
• Attend marketing events and functions with clients
  
  

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Accounting, finance or law-related degree
• 18 months+ work experience; consulting or Big4 experience highly advantageous
• Working towards (or willing to commit to obtaining) an accounting qualification or designation
• Strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities
• A strong team-player who can also work independently and take ownership of own deliverables
• Confident communicator who is happy to engage with stakeholders internal and external of MDD
• Must be able to work under pressure or tight deadlines
• Ability to learn and understand how loss events may impact a business
• IT literate with good MS office skills. Accounting software experience, a plus!
• Vietnamese, Tagalog or Bahasa Indonesia language skills will be considered beneficial but are not essential.
• International travel required
