OfficeSenior Manager, Systems Engineering - qPCR Platforms
In the role of Systems Engineering Senior Lead, you'll be the architect and technical owner of our next-generation qPCR systems. You'll bring together hardware, software, assays, algorithms, and consumables into one cohesive platform - driving innovation from concept to commercialization!
This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical depth. You'll lead a team of architects and engineers, partner with business and product leaders, and ensure every system we build is reliable, scalable, and ground-breaking for our customers.
Own the System Architecture
Define and own the system architecture for integrated qPCR platforms spanning hardware, software, assay, and algorithm development.
Translate user needs and business goals into clear system requirements that balance performance, usability, manufacturability, and compliance.
Lead design trade-offs and technical risk analyses to ensure robustness and scalability.
Champion the architectural vision from early concept through final commercial product.
Lead multi-functional Integration
Partner closely with Product Management, Operations, Assay, Software, and Algorithm teams to align technology and product strategies.
Drive system-level integration, ensuring seamless collaboration across fields and geographies.
Communicate complex technical decisions and trade-offs to senior collaborators with clarity and influence.
Work hand-in-hand with Manufacturing, Quality, and Service teams to ensure design choices enable smooth scale-up and long-term reliability.

What You Bring
8+ years of experience in systems engineering or multi-functional product development for life science or diagnostic instruments.
Proven record of leading system integration across hardware, software, and consumables - from concept to launch.
Demonstrated success managing and developing successful technical teams.
Strong experience working in regulated environments (ISO 13485, FDA QSR, CE-IVD).
Ability to partner strategically with Product Management and business leaders to translate vision into executable roadmaps.
Deep understanding of systems engineering principles and broad technical fluency across mechanical, electrical, software, and assay domains.
Excellent communication and influencing skills comfortable communicating complex ideas to both engineers and executives.
Education
Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Software) or Applied Physics advanced degree preferred.
