Qualifications / Education: 

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

with equivalent practical experience.

Job Description Main Responsibilities and Deliverables: 

• 5–8 years of experience in Java development, with proven expertise in custom API development and system integration.

• Proficient in writing SQL for integration queries, with familiarity in at least one of the following databases for query optimization and tuning: MSSQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.

• Desirable to have knowledge of architectural patterns, but well-versed in best practices, and technical standards.

• Ensure adherence to coding standards.

• Perform or participate in code reviews and foster a culture of technical excellence.

• Hands-on experience in developing complex software applications and components, write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Design and implement integrations with various systems and third-party services. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.

• Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders and work in a multidisciplinary environment with Architects, Software Engineers, Business Analysts and PMs to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications

• Should be able to work independently & complete complex tasks. Interface independently across various teams both internally and externally as needed to complete the work assigned. 

• Planning and Performing Unit and functionality testing to ensure fit to design. 

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system stability and reliability.

• Able to handle tasks from multiple projects with varying priorities simultaneously is necessary

Professional Capabilities:

• Desirable to have familiarity with Java plug-in development, 

• Familiar with coding concepts for ensuring high scalability, multi-user and secured coding 

• Proven experience in identifying and resolving performance issues

• Experience with AWS cloud platforms including services relevant to Java application deployment and management.

• Experience in building, deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including writing YAML manifests.

• Proficient in using version control systems (GitHub) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (Jenkins)

• Exposure to application servers, web servers, JavaScript, Unix and basic commands

• Experience working in Banking Industry, Actimize, AML, KYC and Fraud solutions are highly desirable 

• Experience in designing, developing AI based solutions is desirable
