As the Senior Associate, IT Business Systems Analysis, part of Alcon's Information Technology function, a team that delivers cutting-edge technology solutions to Alcon associates and customers to help our people and the world see brilliantly. The Sr. Associate, IT Business Systems Analysis, is primarily responsible for supporting the design, development, and delivery of IT systems that meet business needs, focusing on complex problem-solving and aligning IT solutions with strategic objectives.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Support the design, development, testing, and successful delivery of IT solutions that align with business needs and enhance operations
- Collaborate with business users and IT teams to ensure systems meet functional and non-functional requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in system enhancements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with IT systems, ensuring they align with business goals
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the service/system(s), ensuring that they are stable, has business continuity (as appropriate), running with minimal disruption to manufacturing operations, and maintained in a validated state
- Assist in documenting system requirements, user guides, and technical specifications
- Make decisions related to day-to-day tasks and issues within assigned projects, working under the guidance of senior team members for more complex decisions
- Operational and management tasks includes and not limited to the following:
- capacity, incident, problem, change, patch and lifecycle management
- owns and maintains IT operational procedures
- supports crisis management (including priority 1/2 IT incidents) with relevant stakeholders and Head of IT, if required
- maintain and ensure all application data is consistent across the various repositories
- Ensure adherence to IT, security and compliance standards/requirement set out and defined by external regulatory bodies, Alcon IT and/or Quality Organization
