Manage supplier quality for dedicated OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) providers, including performance tracking, 8D management, and yield improvements.
Oversee product lifecycle management, including PLC/MLC gate releases, manufacturing releases, and annual re-qualifications.
Lead product and process change management, evaluating supplier changes and coordinating release processes within Continental.
Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (IATF, VDA) and implement zero-defect strategies at OSAT suppliers.
Support sourcing activities for AESS-specific suppliers, including maturity evaluations and supplier component reviews.
Drive continuous improvement programs for supplier quality processes, guidelines, and systems.
Manage escalations for component and manufacturing-related quality topics, both internally and externally.
Conduct VDA 6.3 audits for technology development and manufacturing processes at AESS suppliers.
Support the development of AESS-specific tools and processes for quality management, including PCN/PTN management, MRB management, and qualification according to AEC-Q100.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement category quality requirements and improvement programs.
Develop and implement supplier performance metrics and scorecards to track and improve OSAT provider quality.
Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with Continental's quality standards and industry regulations.
Collaborate with R&D teams to provide input on new product designs from a manufacturability and quality perspective.
Implement and maintain a robust supplier corrective action system to address quality issues promptly and effectively.
Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for complex quality issues.
Qualifications
Academic degree in Engineering, Business administration or comparable qualification
7+ years of experience in semiconductor supplier quality or process engineering, with at least 5+ years in assembly/packaging.
Strong understanding of semiconductor backend process.
Experience managing suppliers in a fabless or OSAT environment.
Familiarity with automotive standards (IATF16949, AEC-Q100, APQP, PPAP) preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using 8D, FMEA, SPC and DOE.
With experience in Purchasing, R&D, Controlling or comparable preferably Automotive Industry
Bilingual in English & Mandarin as need to liaise with Asia and Europe offices
