Job Summary:
- To plan, coordinate, and oversee the delivery of sports and recreation programmes, events, and activities that enhance member engagement, encourage participation, and promote a vibrant club life.
- Providing quality customer service to Club members and guests.
- Assist in organizing social events/activities for members.
- The role supports the smooth day-to-day operations of the sports and recreation section while ensuring high standards of service and member satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the development, organisation, and execution of sports leagues, tournaments, recreational activities, and community events.
- Liaise with coaches, instructors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of programmes.
- Introduce creative and engaging initiatives to increase participation and enrich members recreational experience.
- Manage facility bookings, event schedules, and class registrations.
- Ensure facilities and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and ready for use.
- Handle event logistics, procurement, budgeting, and vendor payments.
- Prepare regular reports on participation, utilisation, member feedback, and programme effectiveness.
- Act as the main point of contact for members on sports and recreation matters.
- Respond promptly and professionally to member queries, feedback, and concerns.
- Foster strong member relationships to build community engagement and loyalty.
- Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and Club policies.
- Support risk assessments and incident reporting as required.
- Supervise part-time staff, event helpers, or volunteers during programmes and events.
- Collaborate with other Club departments to support integrated events and initiatives.
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Hospitality, or related fields.
- At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in sports, recreation, or event management (club or hospitality industry experience preferred).
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a member-centric mindset.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required for events.
- Passion for sports and recreation with knowledge of various sports preferred.
