Job Description
. Assess to identify the speech, language and communication difficulties of our school aged children (7 to 18 years) with ASD
. Provide appropriate intervention plans and exercise decision making skills to choose appropriate therapeutic strategies specific to the profile of the student.
. Be a team player with other SLTs and Allied Health professionals through case discussions and contribute to case management team meetings.
. Educate and provide consultation and training to teachers, coaches, parents and other stakeholders
. To be a team member in providing Augmentative and Alternative Communication intervention such as visuals supports, Voice Output Communication Aids, Hi tech Aids with communication Apps for students.
. To possess a friendly, learning attitude to acquire new, innovative and State-of-art skills in providing Functional Communication training to students on the Autism Spectrum.
. Reporting directly to the Head, therapy services the candidate must have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Job Specifications
. Possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology from an institution recognised by the Allied Health Professional Council (Singapore)
. Valid practising certification with full AHPC Registration
. Work experience with young children with speech, language or communication problems and/or related work experience would be an advantage
. Practical experience in intervention for Language/Learning (Child & Adolescent), Literacy, Social Pragmatic Language, Swallowing/Dysphagia difficulties in autism spectrum disorder is an asset
. Possess excellent writing and speaking skills in English and at least one regional language (Malay, Mandarin, Tamil) to provide counselling and training families in the local context.
