Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assess and identify individual needs and develop tailored intervention plans
  • Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy in accordance with clinical and organisational standards
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-professional team on assessment, goal development, intervention strategies and progress monitoring
  • Provide appropriate information, guidance and emotional support for clients and their caregivers
  • Evaluate and document clients progress at regular intervals to ensure continuity of care
  • Support supervisor in clinical and quality improvement initiatives
  • Perform any specific projects and duties assigned by supervisor from time to time

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good Degree or Master's in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent) recognised under the Allied Health Professions Act
  • Have obtained Full Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council
  • Preferably at least two years of experience working with children and youth with special needs or complex disabilities
  • A heart to serve in the social service sector
  • Passionate about supporting children, youth and their families
  • Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds
  • Strong commitment and motivation to work independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary settings
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of verbal and written English
  • Possess good problem-solving, organisation and time-management skills
