Summary
We are looking for a Market Development & Media Planning Specialist to join our global marketing team. This role will play a key role in driving growth and brand visibility across assigned markets. This position combines strategic Go-To-Market (GTM) responsibilities with media planning and partnership management. The ideal candidate will develop and execute market-specific strategies, manage relationships with tourism boards and airport partners, and run marketing campaigns that deliver measurable results.
Job Description
Go-To-Market (GTM) Execution
- Develop and implement GTM strategies for assigned markets, aligning with overall business objectives
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, consumer trends, and competitive landscape
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Performance Marketing, CRM, Sales, etc.) to ensure cohesive market activation plans
- Monitor and analyse market performance, adjusting strategies to optimise results and achieve market-level KPIs
Media Planning & Campaign Management
- Plan and execute media campaigns across digital, social, and offline channels tailored to market needs
- Manage media budgets effectively, ensuring cost efficiency and maximum impact
- Work closely with media agencies and internal teams to deliver high-quality campaigns on time and within budget
- Track and report campaign performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement
Market Development & Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tourism boards, airport authorities, and other strategic partners in assigned markets
- Negotiate and manage co-marketing agreements, ensuring mutual value and brand alignment
- Coordinate joint campaigns and initiatives with partners to drive traffic, awareness, and conversions
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with in-market teams, agencies and creative functions to ensure localisation and alignment
- Keep updated with industry trends, new tools, and platform updates
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and results
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 35 years of experience in market development, media planning, or related roles.
- Proven experience managing partnerships and executing co-marketing initiatives.
- Experience managing multi-market campaigns for global brands; travel, tourism or aviation experience is a strong plus
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and optimise performance.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Good to have: Understanding of the media landscape in China (e.g. WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Baidu)
