Specialist, Kubernetes Platform & Infra + Observability

About the role

Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding. Partner with various teams to improve services through testing, workflow and best practices. Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning. Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts. Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding

• Partner with various teams to improve services through testing, workflow and best practices

• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning

• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts

• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives

• Proactively identify problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement through automation and workflow enhancements

• Collaborate with delivery teams to deliver service and projects on time and to requirement while focusing on operation work

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related fields

• 5 years or more working experience in IT infrastructure operations or related fields

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Team-oriented with a strong customer service mindset

• Ability to program (structured and OOP) using one or more high-level languages

• Experience with infrastructure and other relevant experiences

• Understand CI/CD processes

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Technical knowledge in Operating Systems (RedHat Linux, Windows, CentOS, Ubuntu), Container Orchestration & Runtime (Docker, Kubernetes), and Monitoring & Performance (Observability)
