Key Tasks And Responsibilities

Contract Administration and Compliance

  • Administer contracts for assigned assets, projects and business opportunities, maintaining accurate and up to date contract documentation, registers and records
  • Monitor contractual rights, obligations and deliverables throughout the contract lifecycle, tracking compliance and flagging deviations, risks and upcoming milestones to the Senior Manager, Commercial
  • Support the administration of contract changes, including variations, amendments and extensions, ensuring changes are documented, approved and implemented in accordance with contractual requirements and delegated authorities
  • Assist in the preparation, substantiation and follow up of claims, disputes and other contractual correspondence with customers, vendors and other counterparties

Commercial Analysis and Decision Support

  • Prepare commercial analyses, decision support material, management reports and presentations to support negotiations, contract management activities and management decisions
  • Support the development and maintenance of commercial, financial and economic models used for negotiations, budgeting, forecasting and value optimisation
  • Support the administration of contractual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) mechanisms, invoicing inputs and production allocation matters for assigned assets, in cooperation with Finance and Cost Control
  • Collect, structure and analyse commercial data and maintain quality of commercial information for assigned assets, projects and business opportunities

Negotiation and Client Support

  • Support the Senior Manager, Commercial in preparing for and conducting commercial negotiations with clients, partners, vendors and other stakeholders, including preparation of negotiation material, minutes and follow up actions
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial input to bids, tenders, proposals, contract extensions, renewals and redeployment opportunities
  • Support day to day customer engagement for assigned assets, preparing responses to customer queries and maintaining constructive working relationships at working level

Governance, Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure all commercial activities are conducted in accordance with company governance requirements, delegated authorities, contractual obligations and applicable policies
  • Collaborate closely with relevant functions to achieve business objectives
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes, systems, templates and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Law or another relevant discipline
  • Extensive relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial, contract management or related roles, preferably within the oil and gas or offshore industry
  • Experience in contract administration and in supporting commercial negotiations
  • Experience working with FPSO or offshore lease and operate contracts is an advantage

  • Structured and analytical, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Proactive and solution oriented, able to work independently within agreed priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Good understanding of the contractual, commercial and business aspects of FPSO and offshore lease and operate projects
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
