We're seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist to join our APAC Trade Services Settlements team. This role is located in Singapore.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Monitor daily workflows for the settlement of Asia market trades (equity, fixed income, funds, IPOs etc)
  • Manage client enquires on trade settlement issues and adhere to SLAs
  • Follow up and resolve settlement issues; handle transaction settlement processing (processing updates to client accounts, handling exceptions, investigation and resolution of asset and cash breaks)
  • Collaborate with internal teams and sub custodians to resolve issues to meet client requests and risk and control requirements
  • Identifying operational inefficiencies, performing analysis and contributing to process improvements and control enhancements.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring that processes are in compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Perform a controller's role, review and guide team mates on issue escalations.
  • Complete root cause of analysis and identify approriate remediation actions
  • Have a good knowledge of custody settlement procedures/systems and is a subject matter expert on the assigned markets

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience in custody operations, brokerage, securities processing, middle office, financial services is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, and exception management.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and having an AI and digital mindset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume, time sensitive environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to clearly document issues and collaborate across teams.
  • Willingness to support work schedules on public holidays and earlier start on rotational basis.
