Location - Singapore

The Specialist, Application applies scientific procedures with the understanding of the food and nutrition industry and products to conduct laboratory experiments.

The specialist is responsible for carrying out laboratory experiments within the application lab related to dsm-firmenich ingredients and premixes for Health, Nutrition & Care business unit. For example new product application prototyping, premix evaluation, stability study.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct formula design, lab prototyping, scale up, stability study for new products for APAC markets, primarily in dietary supplement segment.
• Evaluation of overall performance of dsm-firmenich products in final product format. e.g. tablet, capsule, powder.
• Technical support for customers current product improvement or trouble shooting.
• Participate in customer meetings to support MKT, Sales by providing them with technical support.
• Work with and support internal and external customers on regulatory, purchasing, NPD and manufacturing questions.
• Develop and share technology knowledge with HNC APAC team, primarily in dietary supplement segment.
• Support lab management and comply with safety standards and instructions.

You Bring:

• A bachelor's degree in science (food technology, pharmaceutical, bioscience)
• 5 years experience in product development of food and nutritional products
• Familiar with regulatory guidelines, food safety principles, e.g. ISO, HACCP & GMP practices
• Experience in basic analytical and testing equipment operation.
• Ability to work independently and with teams to conduct investigative analysis
• Have good verbal, written and presentation skills
