Special Education Support Assistant

Job Description

• Provide learning support, remediation, and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Support students with special needs during lessons and classroom activities.
• Help students follow routines, stay focused, manage stress, and complete assignments.
• Assist teachers in understanding and addressing students learning needs.
• Prepare teaching materials and differentiated learning resources.
• Conduct skills training in organisation, emotional regulation, handwriting, and social interaction.
• Create and maintain a special-needs-friendly learning environment.
• Monitor students progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, external professionals, and special schools.
• Participate in case conferences and maintain student records.
• Conduct school orientation for students with ASD

Requirements

• Diploma in Special Education or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience supporting students with or suspected of having Special Educational Needs (SEN) in MOE mainstream schools.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in conducting structured dyslexia intervention programmes or similar.
• Ability to support students with SEN and conduct structured dyslexia intervention programmes
