DAIHATSU INFINEARTH (ASIA PACIFIC) PTE. LTD. was established in Singapore in 1982 is the exclusive distributor in Asia for DAIHATSU INFINEARTH MFG. CO., LTD. (Formerly DAIHATSU DIESEL MFG CO., LTD.) a leading manufacturer of medium speed diesel engines for marine vessels and power generation plants.
To further develop our regional business, we are seeking a highly motivated Spare Parts Sales Manager to join our Spare Parts Sales Group based in Singapore. This position offers an opportunity to undergo extensive technical and commercial training at our Japan Headquarters for 6 to 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sales, marketing, and promotional activities for medium-speed engine after service for marine and land applications
- Manage the full sales cycle including quotation, negotiation, contract management, payment, and delivery
- Analyse customer needs and market trends and act as a bridge between customers and internal departments
- Coordinate with internal teams such as design, production, quality management, procurement, after-sales service, and finance
- Lead the Spare Parts team by performing data analysis, following up on inquiries, and preparing presentation materials for customers-utilizing expertise in spare parts products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to after-sales services, applying technical knowledge of medium-speed engines, dual-fuel engines, and new product lines.
- Provide technical guidance and training to local agents.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while providing technical consultation as needed.
- Travel within the Asia Pacific region as required, including long overseas business trips to India, Bangladesh, and the Middle East.
- Support Japan HQ and coordinate with regional stakeholders on various initiatives.
Requirements & Preferences
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in medium-speed diesel engine parts
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in dual-fuel engine parts
- Possesses the qualification of Japan Marine Engine Technician Grade 3, or equivalent competence.
- At least 3 times on board experiences involving medium-speed diesel engine maintenance.
- Business-level English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Japanese language proficiency to liaise with Japanese counterparts (JLPT N3 minimum, N1 preferred)
- Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation and teamwork
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and corporate social responsibility
